We build novel yokeless axial-flux switched-reluctance five-phase electric motors with integrated power electronics.

Novel: We have created an unprecedented combination of existing technological components.

Yokeless: We do not have a stator yoke, which decreases weight and increases magnetic performance.

Axial-Flux: Our motor geometry eliminates the need for a gearbox (reducing overall size, weight and complexity) while producing higher torque.

Switched-Reluctance: Our simplified mechanical design increases power and makes it easier to cool.

Five-Phase: We have an increased number of phases over traditional motors, greatly enhancing operational robustness.

Integrated Power Electronics: Our motor controller (traditionally separate) is built into our motor, a first of its kind, and one of our primary competitive advantages.
